Student Veterans of UNM Scholarship Fund

Program Description

In 2009 the Student Veterans of the University of New Mexico (SVUNM) established the Student Veterans of the University of New Mexico Scholarship Fund. The Student Veterans of the University of New Mexico Howard S. Kraye Memorial Scholarship Fund provides funds to assist in tuition and fees, room and board, and books to eligible Armed Forces Veterans, their spouse or dependent(s) who meet the merit-based or general scholarship criteria outlined below. The award is renewable on a semester basis if the student meets the criteria each semester and based on available funding.

Student Veterans of the University of New Mexico Scholarship Fund recipients will be involved in innovative and exciting programs and opportunities.

Application

The SVUNM Merit scholarship is based on a number of criteria, such as academic performance and leadership potential.

These programs are very competitive, and the criteria listed for the scholarships represent the minimum requirements to be considered. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee an award. Students are encouraged to pursue all possible resources in order to submit the most comprehensive application.

Alternatively, you can drop off your application at the UNM Student Activities Center in the Student Union Building, Room 1018. Please ask the staff in the Student Activities Center to place your application in our mailbox.
